Water o water

Life of earth started in the water and every living being requires water to stay alive. 

 Let's start this chapter with a hindi poem named Pani. This is written by Shri Prasad. 

पानी

Water is one of the most essential item for living beings to live. It is used almost every day in all kinds of work. They don't say,"Water is life"/" जल ही जिवन।"  for no small reason. 

Here are few things we use water for.

1. Drinking 

2. Cooking 

3. Farming 

4. Bathing 

5. Cleaning clothes 

6. Watering plants

7. Washing cars

8. Making paper, leather in the factory 

9. Generating electricity 

10. Living in by aquatic animals 

11. Fighting fire

Water is present all around us in different forms.  We can find water in three forms. 

Ligid	Water
Solid	Ice, snow
Gas	Vapour, steam, cloud

Source of water 

The place from which we get water is know as water sources. The water source can be classified into two groups. 

1. Natural sources 

The source which occurs naturally is called Natural source. 

Ex. Rain, river, lake, waterfall, sea, etc.

2. Man-made sources 

The source which is built by people is called Man-made source. 

Ex. Well, pond, tank, tube well, handpump, tap etc.
