Flying high

 

     In this chapter we will learn about the creatures who can fly in the sky i.e. birds.  We will learn about the birds we have seen in our surroundings and their habitat,  their food, their different body features. 

You must have seen many birds near your home, school or playground.  Fill the following table about the birds.

Look at these birds commonly found near us.

	Peacock	seeds, insects, fruits, small mammals and reptile
	Eagle	small mammals, reptiles, fish and other birds
	Parrot	bell peppers, carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, mango, papaya
	Crow	insects, seeds, grains, nuts, fruit, non-insect arthropods, mollusks, worms
	Cuckoo	hairy caterpillars and other insects, flying termites, fruits.
	Pigeon	almost anything, from insects to leftover food
